Krištof, what is your position in the company?

I currently perform two functions in Purple Technology - I am a team leader of the Global Operations team and, within the FinTech department, I take care of the technical side of our partners' business infrastructure (it sounds complicated and difficult to explain, I know:)). Simply put, I try to lead people and at the same time solve technical problems associated with our clients' servers and systems.

How did you get into charity work and are you proud of any accomplishments in this area?

From an early age, I was led by my parents to help people who are worse-off than me or have different kinds of problems that I can help them deal with. It was, therefore, a natural thing for me and I try to keep it up as an adult, too - I firmly believe that it will last until the end of my days, because it gives me a sense of fulfillment.

I don't know if accomplishments is the right word here - for me, success is when I manage to help people wherever and whenever needed. The deeds themselves do not have to be heroic at all - oftentimes even insignificant things or details have a great effect for and a huge meaning to the other party.

What do you like to do in your free time?

In my free time I like to do sports, I read about various interesting things worldwide, I study, I like to go to nature and spend time with friends. When I need to relax after a hard day, I prefer to play some music, play the guitar and sing in the shower, which is the ultimate way to unwind for me.

What is your role in and what are you looking forward to in Purple Foundation this year?

Like some of my other colleagues in the Foundation, I look for and collect ideas for new projects where we as an organization can help from people around me and maintain relationships with projects that are already under our wings.

This year, I have been most pleased about the fact that we started helping inwards as well, i.e. our colleagues. I am also very happy about the Dům pro Julii project who managed to gain financial support of the city of Brno.

What are your personal life projects you have planned for the foreseeable future?

I would like to do about a million things, but, unfortunately, I don't have that much spare time. Of the short-term goals, I would definitely like to fulfill my dream and visit one of the Nordic countries I have not been to yet. I would also like participate in the Fjällräven Classic trek, so we'll see when the current covid situation allows it. A super short-term project is to finally have a beer in a beer garden.:)
